Home tour

Home is truly one of my favorite places to be. Cody and I are busy at work making our first rental duplex, "the half-bungalow" as we call it, into our nest. I love mixing old and new. Much of our furniture was inherited from family and much of the rest was thrifted, including art work!

I am SUCH a homebody, and have been re-arranging my living spaces since I was a tiny gal. I can remember trying to shove my crazy queen-sized bed into a new spot in my room as a mere five-year-old. Now that we have our own place -  the possibilities are truly endless, in terms of renting anyway.

A few of the rooms looking the best right now:

the Master bedroom//

I made the lampshade coverings from coffee bean sacks, the red pillow was on my grandparent's guest bed for many years, and the wooden headboard was made by our landlady!

Combining vintage art like this with modern elements is one of my favorite decorating styles right now. This piece was $30 at a tiny Ohio antique store.

Cody's dresser. The piggy bank was his granddad's and I LOVE it.

My night stand - an old chest I bought in Waco, Tx several years ago - and the Velveteen Rabbit, we had a passage read from it at our wedding.

Teeny, but functional bathroom //
